Moneta Markets Secures FCA License via VIBHS Acquisition, Eyes Global Expansion
Moneta Markets, a multi-asset CFD brokerage, has officially secured a regulatory license from the UK’s Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) following the acquisition of VIBHS Financial Ltd., marking a significant milestone in the firm’s international growth strategy.
In a LinkedIn post published Monday, Moneta Markets CEO David Bily confirmed the news, stating:
“The day has come when I can finally share that Moneta Markets has officially secured its FCA license. The UK remains one of the most respected and highly regulated markets globally, and this approval marks a significant step forward in Moneta’s mission to solidify its position as a major competitor on the global stage.”
The FCA license was granted to VIBHS Financial Ltd., now operating under the Moneta Markets brand. It is important to note that other entities within the Moneta Markets group remain unregulated by the FCA and are not authorized to offer services to UK residents.
First Sports Sponsorship and Regional Branding Push
The regulatory approval comes shortly after Moneta Markets entered the sports sponsorship arena. The broker recently signed a regional partnership agreement with Spanish football giant Atlético de Madrid. The sponsorship deal is limited to the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region and marks the company’s first foray into sports marketing. By leveraging Atlético’s brand appeal across APAC, Moneta aims to significantly boost its visibility and brand recognition.
Proprietary Trading Venture in the Works
Moneta Markets is also preparing to launch a proprietary trading firm, indicating a broader diversification of its business model. A recent job listing for a General Manager outlines the company’s intention to build a dedicated prop trading team. The role involves operational oversight, leadership development, and business scaling—signaling that the project is already in an advanced phase.
UAE Expansion through Sterling Financial Partnership
In a separate development, Moneta Markets has initiated discussions with Sterling Financial Services, a firm regulated by the UAE’s Securities and Commodities Authority (SCA). The partnership is aimed at expanding Moneta’s presence in the MENA region, with a particular interest in Dubai. The company cited favorable regulatory conditions and infrastructure in the UAE as key considerations in its expansion roadmap.
A Growing Global Footprint
Moneta Markets continues to broaden its international presence, offering access to forex, indices, commodities, share CFDs, cryptocurrencies, ETFs, and bonds. The broker provides clients with competitive trading conditions, technology-driven platforms, and multilingual support services. The recent developments, including FCA licensing, sponsorship ventures, and strategic partnerships, underscore Moneta’s ambition to evolve into a globally recognized and regulated trading provider.
Moneta Markets’ move follows a similar development from Ultima Markets, which also secured an FCA license as it prepares to enter the UK market. For more details on that story, read our full report: Ultima Markets Secures FCA Licence, Prepares UK Entry Amid Industry Shake-Up.
