NAGA Founder Ben Bilski Unveils True Trading: AI-Native Decentralized Exchange Built on Solana
Ben Bilski, the founder and former CEO of publicly listed German fintech firm NAGA Group, has launched a new decentralized trading platform called True Trading. Currently in its pre-launch phase, the project aims to fuse artificial intelligence with DeFi infrastructure to create what Bilski calls an “AI-native decentralized exchange” operating on the Solana blockchain.
AI-Driven Decentralized Trading
According to official statements and platform materials, True Trading distinguishes itself by integrating a trainable AI engine directly into its decentralized exchange (DEX). The AI is designed to analyze user behavior, trade flows, and real-time market data to continuously optimize user experience and execution logic.
Key operational tasks such as risk management, KYC automation, and payment processing are reportedly handled through AI, which Bilski claims will allow the platform to offer a cleaner, faster, and more secure user interface.
All trades on the platform are executed via smart contracts, enabling non-custodial trading. This means users maintain full control over their funds, with all transactions transparently processed and settled on-chain.
“After years in crypto (since 2014), scaling companies from scratch to IPO, and executing large-scale projects, I took a step back to assess the imbalances and opportunities in the space. And I found something truly exciting, a loophole that changes everything,” Bilski stated on LinkedIn.
Powered by Solana Layer 2 and DeFi Infrastructure
The platform runs on a proprietary Layer 2 protocol built on top of Solana, known for its high throughput and low transaction costs. According to company information, True Trading Corp is incorporated in Panama, positioning the project outside of stricter European regulatory jurisdictions—at least for now.
Current platform features include:
- On-chain perpetual contracts
- Copy trading of high-performing strategies
- Yield-earning vaults powered by smart contracts
Importantly, the platform does not facilitate the trading of regulated securities and does not act as a broker, custodian, or financial intermediary—differentiating it from traditional exchanges or centralized crypto platforms.
Transparency, Control, and the Future of Market-Making
In his announcement, Bilski hinted at addressing long-standing issues in DeFi and centralized crypto exchanges, particularly market-making opacity and liquidity manipulation. He referenced the discovery of “a loophole that changes everything” in how liquidity can be structured and provided within decentralized markets.
This aspect appears to be central to the project’s mission: improving market fairness and accessibility by removing intermediaries and opaque pricing mechanisms through smart contract automation.
While the platform is still in pre-launch, early users are being onboarded, and updates regarding tokenomics, governance, or a full release timeline have not yet been disclosed.
A Growing Wave of AI-Fintech Hybrids
True Trading’s launch arrives amid a broader trend of blending AI tools with blockchain protocols, particularly in the retail trading space. While many DeFi platforms have integrated automation, few have gone as far as embedding a learning AI engine within the core architecture.
This move signals a possible new wave of AI-augmented decentralized trading platforms aiming to provide smarter execution, reduced friction, and scalable DeFi onboarding.
The launch of True Trading also underscores a broader shift among fintech founders and trading firms exploring alternative models to traditional brokerages. Recently, Moneta Markets signaled a move in this direction, revealing plans to launch its own proprietary trading division and beginning recruitment for a General Manager role in Dubai. This trend highlights the growing appetite for platforms that blend technology, talent, and innovation to redefine how traders access and engage with financial markets.
Final Thoughts
While still early, True Trading represents a bold step into the evolving world of AI-powered DeFi. Ben Bilski’s track record of building fintech companies and taking them public adds credibility to the venture, though success will likely depend on user adoption, regulatory clarity, and the platform’s ability to deliver on its high-tech promises.
As the project matures, it will be worth watching how True Trading navigates the DeFi landscape—especially with more retail and institutional traders seeking transparent, non-custodial, and intelligent trading environments.
