Vantage Markets Strengthens Vietnam Presence with Swap-Free Trading and 24/7 Local Support
Global multi-asset broker Vantage Markets has rolled out a series of new features in Vietnam aimed at strengthening its foothold in one of Asia’s fastest-growing retail trading hubs. The updates, which took effect on September 1, include a swap-free trading option, a redesigned Introducing Broker (IB) program, and 24/7 local client support.
The moves reflect a broader industry trend, as international brokers tailor their offerings to meet the needs of traders in emerging markets where competition has intensified.
Swap-Free Trading for Longer Holding Periods
One of the most notable updates is the removal of overnight swap fees on selected instruments. Traditionally, these charges apply when traders hold positions beyond a single trading day, eroding returns for those with medium- or long-term strategies.
By eliminating swaps, Vantage aims to provide cost savings for clients who prefer to keep trades open over extended periods, making the platform more attractive to swing traders and investors seeking flexibility.
Introducing Broker Program Revamped
In parallel, the broker has launched a two-tier IB structure, allowing partners to generate commissions not only from their direct clients but also from their broader referral network.
The redesigned model comes with simplified onboarding, transparent rules, and improved backend tools, according to Vantage. For local partners, this is intended to streamline account management and create more predictable revenue opportunities.
Round-the-Clock Local Support
Customer service has also been upgraded. Vantage now offers continuous local-language support in Vietnam, staffed by human agents rather than chatbots. The broker said the decision reflects its strategy to build trust in a market where service quality and responsiveness are key differentiators.
Industry Context and Company Outlook
Vietnam’s retail trading sector has seen a surge of new entrants in recent years, prompting established brokers to expand services and tailor products to local conditions. Vantage, with over 15 years in operation, offers CFDs across forex, commodities, indices, shares, ETFs, and bonds, and is positioning itself as a competitive option for both retail traders and business partners.
Commenting on the launch, Marc Despallieres, CEO of Vantage Markets, said the initiative demonstrates the company’s commitment to “creating a supportive ecosystem” for traders and IB partners in Vietnam.
Broader Expansion Efforts
The Vietnam updates follow earlier product expansions from Vantage. In May, the broker extended its copy trading feature to its Client Portal web platform, a service previously available only via mobile. Eligible users opening a copy trading account online may also qualify for a deposit bonus of up to 50% in credit.
This expansion allows clients to replicate strategies of top-performing traders directly from their browsers, offering more flexibility in portfolio management.
With swap-free accounts, a more competitive IB model, and round-the-clock local service, Vantage Markets is adapting its approach to fit Vietnam’s growing retail trading market. For traders, the changes mean lower costs, better support, and more structured partnership opportunities—factors that could further shape competition among global brokers targeting Southeast Asia.
Vantage’s expansion in Vietnam comes at a time when global brokers are intensifying efforts across Asia to capture retail demand. For instance, Interactive Brokers recently made headlines by introducing zero-commission US stock trading in Singapore, a move aimed at strengthening its position in another competitive Southeast Asian market.
